and have lunch there, as they do not permit any food or drink brought onto their property. However, since their food is so good, that should not be too much of a sacrifice, while enjoying the shade of their patio.
For the gentlemen who want to stay near their wife's credit cards without actually being in those shops, they may adjourn to PJ's Oyster Bar to slurp and brew.
Rolls of paper towels hang from the ceiling because they know you're likely to get them all messy then drop them on the floor. Just do not overeat because we'll be sitting down
to dinner at about 5:00.
At 4:15, we will return to Caddy's to pick up everyone else then proceed to Ybor City--again--to sample new restaurants, bars, or grills for dinner.
We will arrive about 5:00 at 7th and 8th Avenues where there are a dozen or more places within a block or two at which to enjoy your dinner. Some of them include:
James Joyce Irish Pub Carmine's on 7th Avenue Green Iguana Bar and Grill Brenini of Ybor La Tropicana Cafe Gaspar's Grotto
La Creperia Cafe Gino's Pizza and Brew Acropolis Greek Taverna
La Terrazza Restaurant (northern Italian)
We will provide you with each places' websites in our Trip Details 4 days before we go so you can look at their menus. Otherwise, just stroll among them until you see one that you like!
At 3:00, we will escort anyone wishing to go to Historic Corey Avenue, just a short distance away, for shopping and oyster slurping.
Got a little worried when I read that Sarasota County beaches are experiencing a red tide leaving many deceased fish. Luckily--thus far--the problem has not extended to Pinellas County where we are scheduled to go next month to Caddy's on Sunset Beach. Therefore, unless things change, we are still planning on going to Caddy's.
We will enjoy the beautiful setting of Caddy's
