Great News! You may leave your beach chairs at home because Upham Beach has
beach chair rental! $40 a set (includes two chairs, umbrella, delivery, set-up, and
return). If you need to rent either item separately the chairs are $10, umbrellas $20.  We’ll collect this in advance so your chairs & umbrellas will be waiting for you when you arrive.  We need to mention that there is no lifeguard on duty.

You may want to bring a bag lunch with you or grab lunch from The Paradise Grill, located on the beach.  Next to Paradise Grill are showers, restrooms, and a nearby patio.  Then pick your perfect spot on the beach and relax!

Once you feel you’ve had enough sun and surf for the day, you will be free to visit the unique boutiques and specialty shops, clothing stores, and imaginative gift shops in the Corey Avenue shopping district.  An 11 minute walk from the beach, Corey Avenue is the shopping center of St. Pete Beach, located near Gulf Blvd and 75th.  We will likely ask our buses to make at least one trip from the beach to Corey Avenue in the afternoon.  Rather than list them all here, we suggest you check this website for more details:  However, we will give you a teaser preview:

Upham Beach has four wooden dune walkovers that lead to a wide white pristine sandy beach. It is approximately 550’ from the parking lot to the water’s edge. Just a short walk north on the beach is a rock jetty where you can stand and watch the dolphins jump in and out of the water.

We will venture just 2-¼ hours south to Upham Beach, one of less traveled St. Pete Beach shores. This will only be the second time the BBC has visited this rather uninhabited beach -- no tall hotels or condos anywhere on the shoreline, only sand dunes and gently lapping water. We will have the entire day to enjoy the beach, restaurants, and shopping on Corey Avenue.

I/we would like to go to Upham Beach Park with the BBC on June 17th.  Enclosed is my $30.00 check (pp).
